LONGARM QUILTING RATES
Our price for quilting includes consultation to determine design and thread color, the quilting, and thread. Batting is charged separately (see below).

PRICE PER SQUARE INCH
We charge 2.65 cents per square inch for all designs. We do NOT charge extra for thread or bobbins.
To determine the quilting cost of your quilt, multiply the length of your quilt (in inches), by the width of your quilt (in inches). You would then multiply that amount by our price per square inch.
For example: If your quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches.
60 x 80 = 4800
4800 x 0.0265 = $127.20.

My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.
BATTING
As a convenience for our clients, we offer Quilters Dream batting for sale. We have a variety of batting on hand making it fast and easy plus saves the cost of shipping the batting with your quilt. You are welcome to provide your own high-quality batting if you prefer, please list the brand and type on the quilt form.
Batting is a separate charge and is not included in the per square inch rate listed above.
BATTING CHOICES

Quilters Dream is a high-quality, affordable batting that we love working with. It comes in a variety of types, many of which we keep in stock.

-
80/20 cotton/polyester blend - a soft, silky mid-loft batting that drapes beautifully and breathes well. This batting holds up well to frequent washings.
-
100% cotton select - our most selected batting, washed quilts are soft and crinkly and just get better with use. The select loft is a great mid-loft - not too thin, not too thick - perfect for our Southern climate.
-
100% cotton deluxe - if you love the idea of cotton but want something with a bit more warmth and thickness, choose the deluxe loft (must be special ordered)
-
Bamboo blend - our favorite batting, a luxurious blend of bamboo, silk, and cotton. Super soft, warm, and just plain yummy.
-
100% wool - fluffy and light but oh so warm, our go-to for Winter quilts.
You can visit the Quilters Dream website to read more about these and the other variety of battings offered. We are happy to special order a batting if it is not one that we stock.

BATTING COSTS

If you choose the 80/20 cotton/poly blend or the 100% cotton select batting, the charge is by the linear inch from a queen roll. And we will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch.
For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.
65" of 80/20 cotton/poly blend @ $0.40/in = $26.00
65" of 100% cotton select @ $0.42/in = $27.30

For our other battings, we can provide you with a quote.
THREAD
We stock high-quality Glide and Premo-Soft thread. We do NOT charge any extra fees for thread use, it's included in your square inch price.
Our personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color. We keep a selection of neutral threads in stock but are happy to special order as needed.

The backing thread will be selected to match or closely align with the choice of top thread.

BINDING
We know binding a quilt can be quite the chore. We are happy to provide this service for you. Please note that this will delay the return of your quilt by approximately a week. Cost for this service is based on the linear inch. This is calculated by the following formula:

[Length of quilt (in inches) + Width of quilt (in inches)] x 2 = Linear Inch
Cost = Linear Inch x Cost of Service

Option 1: You provide the binding already cut into 2.5" strips, sewn together, and pressed in half. We then attach the binding to the front of the quilt. We return the quilt for YOU to hand-stitch the binding to the back of the quilt. Cost for this service is $0.10/linear inch.

For example a 60" x 80" quilt would cost: [60+80] x 2 = 140 x 2 = 280 x 0.10 = $28

Option 2: You provide enough fabric for us to cut 2.5" strips of fabric, sew them together, press them in half, and attach to the front of the quilt. We return the quilt for YOU to hand-stitch the binding to the back of the quilt. Cost for this service is $0.15/linear inch.

For example a 60" x 80" quilt would cost: [60+80] x 2 = 140 x 2 = 280 x 0.15 = $42

Option 3: Your provide the binding already cut into 2.5" strips, sewn together, and pressed in half. We then attach the binding to the front of the quilt and WE hand-stitch the binding to the back of the quilt. Cost for this service is $0.20/linear inch.

For example a 60" x 80" quilt would cost: [60+80] x 2 = 140 x 2 = 280 x 0.20 = $56

Option 4: You provide enough fabric for us to cut 2.5" strips of fabric, sew them together, press them in half, and attach to the front of the quilt. WE hand-stitch the binding to the back of the quilt. Cost for this service is $0.25/linear inch.

For example a 60" x 80" quilt would cost: [60+80] x 2 = 140 x 2 = 280 x 0.25 = $70
TRIMMING
If you will be attaching your own binding, it would be best to leave the quilt untrimmed to prevent any fraying of the edges and protect the stitching. However, if you would like us to trim your quilt following quilting we can.

Rough trim: $15 leaving approximately 1/2" of excess backing and batting from edge of quilt

Exact trim: $20 square corners and cut along the edge of the quilt

Note: if you are choosing to have us attach your binding, there is no additional charge from trimming as this cost is accounted for in the price of the binding.
SHIPPING
Our shop is located in south Louisiana, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. We recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
RETURN SHIPPING
We will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $100 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but it is not required.
SALES TAX
I'm required by the State of Louisiana to collect a 8.45 % sales tax on the quilting service portion of an invoice. Batting, shipping, and any design/pantograph fees are not subject to sales tax if outside the state of Louisiana.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Upon completion of the quilting, we will take photos of your quilt in our well-lit shop and then text/email you those images to use however you would like. We'd just ask that you credit and tag Lola Pink Quilt Co. in the photo and/or quilting if posting publicly. We love seeing you showing off your amazing work! This extra service is included in your square inch price.
